    50 Yards from the resort is Oxnard Shores Beach Park a beautiful white sand beach.  It is your gateway to one of the most beautiful, open and all but private stretches of coast land in Southern California.   The beach stretches for 5 secluded miles to the Ventura Harbor.  Sheltered by the bird refuge, McGrath State Beach and the Santa Clara Estuary you can often find miles of beach with only a handful of others to share it with you.

    Tucked away on the Ventura Naval Base, is the  U.S. Navy Seabee Museum.  Th museum's mision is to select, collect, preserve and display historic material relating to the history of the Naval Construction Force, better known as the Seabees, and the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps. Historical information on more than 700 Seabee units since WWII.
